| Nature of Business | Note 1. Nature of Business Organization The original QuantumScape Corporation, now named QuantumScape Battery, Inc. (“Legacy QuantumScape”), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company (as defined below), was founded in 2010 with the mission to revolutionize energy storage to enable a sustainable future. In 2020, QuantumScape became a publicly traded company through a business combination, after which QuantumScape Battery, Inc. became a wholly owned subsidiary of QuantumScape Corporation (the “Company”). The Company is focused on the development and commercialization of its solid-state lithium-metal battery technology. Planned principal operations have not yet commenced. As of March 31, 2026, the Company had not derived revenue from its principal business activities. |
